Gen 3 XL Transducer Mounted Propulsion System for Hobie™ Kayaks

We bought 2 units, for me and the wife’s lynx. Super easy install. I use my Lynx for fishing and the unit worked above what my expectations were, fighting a 3 knot incoming tide, no problem, running slow and quiet to catch some Reds, no problem. So far so good. Surprising strong motor for the size. I would recommend.

I have been looking at the Texas Power Paddle for my lynx for quite awhile. I couldn't decide if I should spend that much money. However, after hearing the reviews of others, I pulled the tigger and ordered it for my Christmas present. It was so easy to install and took less that five minutes. The battery is fairly light and fits on the kayak without taking up a lot of space.
It made fishing so much fun. Getting out to the fishing area and back was EASY and fast. The motor is fairly quiet and I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. It will make coming back after a long day of fishing easy.
Now I will be able to zoom ahead of my son and get to the hot spots first. I can't guarantee that the TPP will help you catch more fish and bigger ones, but since I have used it, I have out fished my son each time and he is an accomplished angler.

I love the ease of using this system. I can now go further in my kayak without fearing being able to pedal all the way home if wind kicks up or tide gets strong. I went out for about an hour and a half and used the motor at times full speed and other times part time or not at all and the battery was only down to 89%. I’m very pleased with that.

I ordered the Gen 3 XL Transducer Mounted Propulsion System for my Hobie Lynx. I was delivered quickly and was package extemely well. The unit was very easy to install. The control unit fits under the seat to keep the center o gravity just where you want it. I am 70 and this will help keep me on the water longer. I highly recomend Texas Power Paddle, the customer service was GREAT.

I’ve been looking for a motorized solution for my Lynx. Did not like the Bixpy option for the rear or the pedal port. Today was the first day out. Wow did it exceed all expectations. Love that it fits in the transducer slot out of sight. Battery tucks away in crate or under the seat. Love the throttle on the rudder steering. Goes over 4 knots and plenty of batter left after being out for 6 hours ( 84% remaining ). Love that you can paddle and motor the same time by a simple turn of the throttle knob. Would recommend the weed protector and transducer protector for a minimal investment!
