This motor is amazing

Dear sir

Today is third time out I’ve been on my power paddle, and my experience with this motor is nothing but amazing. I’m a 65 yr old man that is overweight and is having problems with my knees. I have a Hobie PA and I try to peddle as much as I can to keep exercise my knee but sometimes I will go a little far and wish I had a way to get back quicker and this motor has answered my prayers. I have friend who purchased it first and I fought against it along time until one day he towed us both to the boat ramp.

From that point I said I had to get one and luckily it was my birthday and my wife got it for me best present ever and I thank her for it every time I use it.

Thank you for this amazing product

Michael Davis

Thank you Michael for sharing your experience!

Shallow Water Fishing

I use my outback for shallow water marsh fishing.
Love this motor attached to rudder because I am still able to use Hobie Drive if needed. Motor is a Great assistance to the drive when needed.
In shallow water, ad long as the rudder has clearance, I have propulsion.
Love it, won't go fishing with out it.

We are happy you're satisfied with your system!

Repairs customer service

I love my system and was very disappointed when I had trouble with my battery. I got salt water in the case and the battery would not turn on. I sent it back to Texas Power Paddle. Although it was my fault that the battery would not work, customer service was very helpful. Their first concern was for my safety and recommended I replace the battery. They offered me a discount on a new battery. Very responsive. Very helpful. Very fair. Thank you TPP for getting me back on the water so quickly.

So glad we could help you get back on the water! Thank you for the kind words Caroline!

Game Changer

I’ve had the Gen 2 for my Hobie Compass about a month and I’m a believer. The install is easy but the spring in the rudder is a bit challenging. After a few tutorial videos all was well. I rode about three hours on my maiden voyage and all I kept wondering is why it took me so long to purchase this product. I had 76% battery life remaining after three hours. If I had to complain about something it would be the low number of wiring clips included and no maintenance starter kit included. I believe at this cost point those small additional items should be included.

Thanks for the review Rory! If you ever need more clips or help with maintenance, shoot us an email at sales@texaspowerpaddle.com!

Coyote Fishing
Very nice get u one

I have a Hobie PA 14 and I normally fish for about 10 hour with the Hobie large live well on my kayak. I’m a big guy + 200b and sometimes I fish about 1.5 miles from the boat ramp. Running back to the boat ramp I’m getting about 3.5 mph with the Marlin motor and at the end of the day remaining life on the battery is been about 50%. Only thing I can think of that I don’t like is it’s a little noisy, but I’m only using it to travel from one spot to another spot.

We're so glad your enjoying your system! Thank you for your review!
